Blue Route Vineyard
Who We Are

Ordinary people,
following Jesus together.

Blue Route Vineyard is a young, Spirit-attentive church in Media, PA. We're less interested in performing faith than practicing it — together, imperfectly, one Sunday at a time.

Our Story

A twenty-year dream, still unfolding

More than two decades ago, Senior Pastor Mark Tindall and a small community set out to plant a church that would please God — starting with young adults from every kind of background, and open to anyone, of any age, who felt drawn to the same dream.

That dream was never just about one congregation. From the beginning, the vision has been for Blue Route Vineyard to become the first of as many as ten related churches across the Delaware Valley — planted as God provides the people, the leaders, and the moment. It's a big hope for a church that started small.

The team here will tell you their confidence isn't in a strategy. It's in the belief that God is the one actually building this, and that they simply get to be part of it — praying, as Jesus taught, for His kingdom and His will to take shape here, the same as it is in heaven.

What We Believe

Historic Christian faith, still true today

We hold to the ancient creeds of the church — the Apostles', Nicene, and Chalcedonian — and to the Bible as our final authority for what we believe and how we live. In short:

01

Scripture

God's word — trustworthy, and central to how we actually live, not just what we say we believe.

02

One God, Three Persons

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in every way, eternally one.

03

Jesus

Fully God and fully human. His life, death, and resurrection make new life possible for us.

04

The Holy Spirit

Not a footnote. Present and active, still empowering ordinary people today.

05

Salvation

A gift received by faith — not a reward earned by effort or performance.

06

Christ's Return

A real hope, not a metaphor. We believe history is headed somewhere good.

This is a short summary of a longer statement rooted in the ancient creeds. We're building a dedicated page for the full text — for now, you can read our full statement of faith →

How We Try to Live It Out

What we practice, not just what we say

Prayer & Scripture

Turning to the Bible and to prayer to shape how we actually live, not just what we say we believe.

Real Fellowship

Leaving the masks at the door. Safety and honesty matter more here than polish.

Generosity

Giving freely of time, energy, and resources — not just writing a check.

Leadership as Service

Leaders here are called to serve first and lead second, following the pattern Jesus set.

Reaching Out

Living with the people who don't yet know Jesus in view — not just each other.

Joy

Laughter isn't a distraction from faith here. The first believers had plenty of it too.

Part of a Larger Family

Connected to the Vineyard movement

Blue Route Vineyard belongs to the Association of Vineyard Churches — a family of several hundred congregations across the country who share a common posture: Spirit-led worship, kingdom theology, and a belief that ordinary people can be used by God in extraordinary ways. We're one local expression of something much bigger than ourselves.
